The new Austrian Electricity Industry Act (Österreichische Elektrizitätswirtschaftsgesetz – ElWG) introduces a revised legal framework for the electricity sector. Its key provisions will be the focus of the Energy Law Conference 2026, organized by the Energy Institute at JKU Linz in cooperation with BEURLE Rechtsanwälte GmbH.
The structure of energy law is crucial for achieving climate and energy policy goals. In view of changing legal conditions and technological progress, it is important to maintain a stable legal framework that is also flexible enough to take developments into account.
The event will highlight current legal developments in energy law. The conference offers an opportunity to engage in dialogue with experts from academia, legal practice, and the energy industry.
