circPLAST-mr Symposium

On July 2, the 3rd circPLAST-mr Symposium was held at the JKU. A series of insightful presentations focused on the latest advances and innovations in the mechanical recycling of plastics.

From the variety of presentations, it became evident that a comprehensive understanding of the interaction between the individual steps in the mechanical recycling of PET and PP is essential to ensure the production of high-quality recyclates for optimal applications, such as food contact materials.
During the symposium, our colleague Karin Fazeni-Fraisl delivered a presentation on the impact of recyclate quality on the CO2 footprint of plastic end products.

We are happy to collaborate with our project partners on solutions for a sustainable circular economy.
