EISER project meeting Karlstad

Last week, our colleagues Stefan Puschnigg, Robert Müllehner, and Gregor Riha took part in the first physical project meeting of EISER in Karlstad, Sweden. The project is funded by the Climate and Energy Fund as well as the EU through CETPartnership.

During the meeting, they presented the current progress of our work in the project and engaged in workshops on the topics of industrial symbiosis, technology deployment, and barriers/opportunities for industry-related transformation.

🔬 As part of this international project, resource efficiency in the pulp and paper industry is being evaluated and further developed, with a particular focus on energy flexibilities and industrial symbiosis.

💡 A special highlight was the visit to Valmet’s test center and machinery production facilities, which provided fascinating insights into the planning and construction of pulp, paper, and board machines.

Thank you to all partners from RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Valmet, Politecnico di Milano, Wood K plus – Competence Center Wood GmbH, and Mondi Group for this highly productive meeting.
We are already looking forward to the next meeting!
