Our colleague Giulia Garzon had the pleasure of attending the European Sociological Association (ESA) Conference 2024 in beautiful Porto, Portugal, from August 26-30, focused on “Tension, Trust, and Transformation.”
Giulia presented and discussed some of the findings on European Cultures of Resistance, which offers a framework for understanding how resistance to low-carbon transitions emerges by exploring the cultural, political, and social factors across European countries.
Thanks to the CURE project (Conceptualizing and Understanding Resistance against Energy policy and technology) for enabling the participation! This inspiring conference has sparked new ideas and strengthened our commitment to advancing research on energy transitions from a sociological perspective.
