Energy Planning 2.0

Marie-Theres Holzleitner-Senck and Michael Denk presented at the expert dialogue ‘Energy Planning 2.0’ of the project CleanHeatSelector the new legal framework for heat planning.

The focus was on the new regime for acceleration areas and the requirements for the cascading use of solid biomass according to the RED III. A case study was also used to illustrate the impact of regulatory and social criteria on different types of heat supply (individual supply, heating network and energy network). These included the potential noise pollution of heat pumps and the general acceptance of the introduction of a new heating technology among the population, the barriers that could arise during installation and maintenance, as well as the financial impact of retrofitting on consumers.

Many thanks to all participants for the lively exchanges and valuable discussions!
