On September 30, our colleague Manuela Halbartschlager took to the stage at the fall meeting of the Smart Grids Austria technology platform (TP SGA).
Seated in front of her were experts from the energy industry, politics, and research—all of whom were preoccupied with the same question:
How is digitization changing our energy world? In her presentation, she showed what NIS2, the Data Act, and the EPBD mean for this industry—from new data security requirements to opportunities for data utilization to incentives for greater energy efficiency.
The feedback from the audience made it clear: Regulation is not a stumbling block, but can become a driver of innovation if we use it correctly.
