Last week, the official launch of the Horizon Europe project BUILDERS—coordinated by IPC—took place at the kick-off meeting held at the IPC – Centre Technique Industriel de la Plasturgie et des Composites in Oyonnax, France.
The Energy Institute is part of the international consortium and was represented on site by our colleagues Johannes Lindorfer and Manuela Halbartschlager.
BUILDERS focuses on the development and testing of harmonized Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems for plastic construction products. The project involves developing technical, economic, and regulatory approaches, supported by digital solutions such as traceability systems and digital product passports (DPP).
The goal is to lay a concrete foundation for a circular construction economy and to make the value chain in the construction sector more sustainable and transparent.
We look forward to collaborating within this strong consortium and to the upcoming phases of the project!
