The 20^th International Symposium on District Heating and Cooling will take place from 5 to 8 September 2027 at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. The symposium is hosted and organised by the Energieinstitut an der JKU Linz under the auspices of the IEA Technology Collaboration Programme on District Heating and Cooling (IEA DHC).

Held every two years, the symposium is one of the leading international conferences for research and innovation in district heating and cooling. Around 200–300 participants from around the world are expected in Linz, bringing together experts from academia, industry, public institutions and policymakers.

The symposium provides a platform to present new research, exchange practical experience and discuss current developments, opportunities and challenges in district heating and cooling. It also offers a valuable opportunity to connect with the international DHC community and establish new collaborations.

Researchers, industry professionals, utilities, public institutions, policymakers and other DHC experts are invited to join us in Linz for four days of scientific exchange, discussion and networking.
