Instructions for Authors

Up to 50 full papers, each with a maximum length of eight pages, will be published in the conference proceedings by Springer Nature. Each published paper will receive a DOI and will be subject to peer review by the Scientific Committee. Open-access publication is funded by IEA DHC.

Authors invited to submit a full paper can upload their paper through the ConfTool submission system. Further information on the required file format and submission process will be provided to invited authors.

Please follow the instructions below when preparing and submitting your paper.

  • Full-paper invitation: Only authors who indicated their interest in submitting a full paper during abstract submission will be considered for an invitation.
  • Acceptance of invitation: Authors must accept the invitation to submit a full paper by the deadline stated in the notification email. If the invitation is not accepted by the deadline, the full-paper slot will be offered to the next highest-ranked contribution. By accepting the invitation, authors commit to submitting a full paper and presenting their work at the symposium.
  • Paper length: Full papers must not exceed eight pages, including figures, tables, references and all other content.
  • Paper template: Authors should prepare their paper using the Word template provided to invited authors.
  • Third-party material: Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use copyrighted third-party material, including figures, images and tables. Please refer to the Springer Nature Third-Party Permissions Guidelines for further information.
  • Submission deadline: The first version of the full paper must be submitted by 23 April 2027.

Peer Review and Publication

Each full paper will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee. Authors will be asked to revise their paper based on the reviewers’ comments. A second review will follow where required before the final version is accepted. A paper may be rejected if it does not meet the requirements for publication following peer review. Accepted papers will be published open access in the symposium proceedings published by Springer Nature.

Presentation at the symposium: At least one author of each accepted full paper must register for the symposium and present the contribution. Full papers that are not presented at the symposium will not be included in the final proceedings.
