Registration
The 20th International Symposium on District Heating and Cooling takes place at the Johannes Kepler University Linz from 5 to 8 September 2027.
Early bird registration will open in January 2027. In the meantime, participants can pre-register to receive updates and be informed when registration opens.
Symposium Fees
All prices are net and subject to 10% VAT.

* The reduced student fee is available to currently enrolled students and doctoral candidates who provide valid proof of their status during registration.
The symposium fee includes

Additional activities and services
The following additional activities and services can be selected during registration and will be added to the symposium fee where applicable. Places for selected activities may be limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Terms and Cancellation Policy
- Registration is binding once submitted.
- The applicable registration fee is determined by the date of registration.
- An invoice will be issued following registration and must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date. For registrations made shortly before the symposium, payment must be received before the start of the event.
- Participation is confirmed upon receipt of the full registration fee. The organiser reserves the right to cancel a registration if payment has not been received by the due date.
- Cancellations received within 14 days of registration are eligible for a full refund. After this 14-day period, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded for cancellations received up to and including 5 June 2027. For cancellations received from 6 June 2027 onwards, no refund will be provided.
- No refund will be provided in the event of non-attendance.
- A registered participant who is unable to attend may nominate a substitute participant at no additional charge. A substitute participant may be accepted upon prior written request, provided that the substitute is from the same organisation as the registered participant or is demonstrably a project partner involved in the project associated with the respective oral presentation. Substitutions are subject to approval by the Organising Team. Requests for substitutions or other changes to the registration must be submitted in writing to ieadhc2027@energieinstitut-linz.at.
- The conference programme may be subject to change.
- If the symposium is cancelled by the organiser, registration fees already paid will be refunded. The organiser will not be liable for travel, accommodation or other costs incurred by participants.
- If the symposium is postponed, existing registrations will remain valid for the rescheduled event.
