Last week, the Energy Institute at JKU Linz had the opportunity to participate in the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2026 and represent the EU Horizon EVELIXIA Project, on which we have been working since August 2023 together with 35 partners from 12 countries.
At the Smart Energy Cluster | InEExS LIFE booth, we had the opportunity to explain the goals and priorities of #EVELIXIA to interested visitors and provide exciting insights into our work in the areas of smart buildings, digitalization, and energy efficiency. In addition, we were able to present the Hashtag#EVELIXIA Call for Expression of Interest, reaching out to potentially interested technology developers and building owners who would like to actively participate in the further development and testing of innovative solutions in the building sector.
The numerous discussions with representatives from research, industry, and politics were particularly valuable. EUSEW provided a great platform for making new contacts, deepening existing collaborations, and exchanging ideas with other EU projects.
The many sessions and discussions on the future of the building sector, smart energy systems, and the European energy transition also provided exciting new perspectives and inspiration for our ongoing project work.
