The official kick-off meeting of our new research project ADJUST took place on 18 March 2025. Together with our project partners – the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) and the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) – and with the support of the Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA), we started the first phase of our joint project.
ADJUST (‘ADjusting policy measures to achieve a Just transition’) is dedicated to the question of how climate policy can be designed in such a way that it is socially balanced and inclusive. The aim is to further develop policy measures in such a way that vulnerable population groups are not disadvantaged, but are actively and fairly involved in the energy transition.
Over the next three years, we want to work together with stakeholders from politics, civil society and science to develop viable strategies for a just and inclusive transformation.
