Linz District Heating Forum 2026

Motivated by several ongoing projects, we are organizing the “Linz District Heating Forum” on March 17–18, 2026, at Johannes Kepler University Linz. The first edition will focus on “Heat Highways”, large-scale heat storage, and industrial symbiosis for waste heat–to–district heating projects.

The Forum aims to

  • Transfer knowledge between applied research and district heating practice
  • Foster networking among actors from specific fields of district heating
  • Disseminate project results
  • Connect key stakeholders

Monday, 16 March 2026
19:00: Welcome reception

Tuesday, 17 March 2026
09:00 – 17:30: Day 1 of the forum (Welcome, keynote speeches, parallel sessions)
Venue: Uni-Center, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Altenberger Straße 69, Linz
19:00 – 22:00: Dinner for invited guests
Venue: Restaurant Stadtliebe, Landstraße 31, Linz

Wednesday, 18 March 2026
09:00 – 16:00: Day 2 of the forum (Keynote speeches, parallel sessions)
From 16:00: Farewell coffe and drinks
Venue: Uni-Center, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Altenberger Straße 69, Linz

The forum’s language is English. There is no participation fee.
