Industrial symbiosis as the key to decarbonisation – New CORALIS video: combining science and practical implementation
The EU project CORALIS develops innovative concepts to promote industrial symbiosis by closing loops, valorising resources and strengthening cross-company cooperation – with the aim of making energy-intensive industries more sustainable and efficient.
The new video offers exciting insights into the targeted realisation of industrial synergies in three European regions (Demos: Frövi-SE, Brescia-IT, Escombreras-ES + Followers: Linz-AT, Basauri-ES, Izmit-TR)

The Energieinstitut an der JKU plays a central role:
✔ In our work package, the CORALIS approach is being tested and scaled up in new regions. Why is that important? Industrial companies can benefit from each other – through shared resources, energy savings and a reduction in emissions. The Energieinstitut an der JKU provides scientific expertise and practical solutions.
✔ We develop innovative business models for companies to utilise synergies profitably.
✔ It analyses the ecological and economic effects of industrial cooperation.
