According to the Austrian Research Landscape database by the Vienna University of Technology, the Energieinstitut an der JKU Linz, with its 45 employees, holds the following rankings across all research fields:
- 8th among Austrian non-university research institutions by number of FFG-funded projects.
- 10th among Austrian non-university research institutions by number of EU-funded projects.
- 12th among Austrian non-university research institutions by total EU research funding secured.
- 9th among Austrian non-university research institutions by the combined number of FFG, EU, and FWF projects.
- 22nd in FFG-funded projects and 27th in EU-funded projects among all Austrian research institutions.
These are absolute, not relative, rankings.
Maintaining these positions will be challenging. Nevertheless, in support of the energy system transformation—and the analyses, innovations, and solutions it requires—we are committed to continuing this work with dedication and ambition.
