Serve-U

Community-based Smart Energy Service through flexible Optimization

Serveu Logo

Project Description

The Serve-U project develops and validates an energy use optimisation platform that enables energy communities to control the use of renewable energy sources in a flexible and demand-optimised way with minimal technical and financial effort. For this purpose, high-resolution meteorological generation estimation, exchange-based price data and self-learning consumption forecasts are integrated into an energy optimisation model to be created (Serve-U). A high degree of security and scalability is achieved by focusing on available generation, load (smart meter and inverter data) and market data – partly based on open standards – and non-invasive sensor technology. Furthermore, Serve-U investigates the economic/environmental potential of such low-cost optimisation approaches for energy communities, taking into account user-specific requirements.
