The ENERGIZE+ project aims to promote energy cooperation between neighbouring companies in urban and industrial zones in order to reduce CO2 emissions and increase energy efficiency. Therefore the viability of cooperative energy models in selected industrial zones across the EU will be demonstrated. The potential of the following regions is in the focus of the project: Manrese/ES, Valsesia Region/IT, Zlín/CZ and Upper Austria/AT.
The aim of the project is to promote the collaboration and participation of businesses in renewable energy, energy efficiency initatives and community energy projects across target regions. To this end, training and mentoring programmes for businesses and investors will be carried out to improve their skills in the area of cooperative energy models. Another focus is on promoting sustainability in companies, particularly through the use of renewable energies, improving energy efficiency and promoting the circular economy. The aim is also to optimise the use of energy resources and technologies. A central concern is the promotion and facilitation of the replication of energy cooperations. In addition, the scalable ENERGIZE+ Digital Hub will be developed, implemented and its effective utilisation promoted.
