HyTruck

Hydrogen Truck Austria

Hytruck

Project Description

The HyTruck project aims to demonstrate an emission-free fuel cell based solution for the commercial vehicle market within the WIVA P&G energy model region. Based on the state of the art of fuel cell vehicles, HyTruck is intended to achieve significant technological progress, as current barriers such as power output, service life, energy and heat management and costs are to be overcome with new and innovative solutions. The objectives of the given
project can be summarized in detail as follows:

· Development, construction, optimization and validation of an HD fuel cell system and its key technologies to meet the performance, efficiency, reliability and service life requirements of commercial vehicles.

· Novel, innovative and tailor-made control strategies to improve the performance, efficiency, reliability and service life of the fuel cell system.

· Novel and innovative overarching energy management strategies for commercial vehicles to achieve optimal performance, efficiency, reliability and service life of the fuel cell-based powertrain.

· Conception, layout and thermodynamic simulation of the hydrogen tank system for commercial vehicles

· Comprehensive technical, economic and ecological analyzes to show the contributions to the goals of the RTI initiative and their achievement within the energy model region WIVA P&G.
