Extreme weather events, volatile energy markets, and uncertain regulatory frameworks pose increasing challenges for industry in securing its energy supply and maintaining long-term competitiveness. Climate adaptation and energy resilience are two concepts that are understood and applied differently across academia, industry, and policy. Within the framework of IEA IETS Task XXII, shared definitions, technologies, and solution approaches for climate adaptation and energy resilience in industrial systems are being collected, critically examined, and internationally harmonised.
