Green-Pro

Possibilities of Establishing Green Propulsion Shipping Routes on Rivers and Seas

Green pro logo

Project Description

The Green-Pro project addresses the urgent challenges facing river and maritime shipping in meeting stringent emission reduction targets. Alternative fuels are emerging as a key solution, but a major obstacle is the inadequate development of port infrastructure, particularly storage and transhipment facilities. In addition, the complexity of shipping supply chains involving multiple stakeholders underlines the need for careful planning and cooperation along the entire value chain. The main objective of the project is therefore to support the transition of river and maritime shipping to alternative fuels and to ensure a seamless supply chain within the Danube and Eastern Adriatic coastal regions.
