GridCommunity

Resiliente Netze durch Energiegemeinschaften als systemdienliche Partner

Project Description

GridCommunity lays the foundation for a sustainable, decentralized, and resilient energy system in which renewable energy communities (EEGs) actively contribute to grid stability and efficiency. The project advances the technical, economic, and regulatory integration of EEGs to ensure their long-term role as grid-supportive and financially viable actors. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach that combines regulatory analysis, economic modeling, field testing, and stakeholder collaboration, GridCommunity develops scalable solutions ranging from regulatory and tariff improvements to dynamic, cost-reflective pricing models, the integration of community storage, and digital interfaces for real-time communication. Through modeling, simulation, and field validation, the project delivers practical concepts that establish EEGs as stable, integrated, and future-proof pillars of a flexible energy system.
