TransformIndustry

The aim of the project is the development of realistic, scenario-based transformation paths for climate neutrality in Austrian industry in 2040 and recommendations for action based on innovation policy. The transformation paths developed should show how climate protection, innovation and competitiveness of Austrian industry can be reconciled and which trade-offs are necessary. The Energieinstitut provides contributions to the developed technology database and the technology costs, especially in the area of hydrogen and carbon capture; the focus is then on the macroeconomic quantification of the employment and welfare effects.
