On 2 April, our colleague Michael Denk had the opportunity to give a presentation on ‘Digitalisation Meets Climate Protection: Legal Framework for Energy-Efficient Data Centres’ at the International Conference on Smart Cities and Green ICT Systems (SMARTGREENS) in Porto, Portugal.
The presentation highlighted how digitalisation and climate protection can go hand in hand – and why a legal framework for sustainable IT infrastructures is essential. Especially in the age of the rapidly growing use of AI, legal requirements for energy efficiency and resource conservation are becoming increasingly relevant.
