Following the Regional Leaders Summit (RLS) Science Conference 2026, the Energieinstitut an der JKU Linz and the Energy Research Institute of the Shandong Academy of Sciences signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
We are happy about this important step and the great potential for future collaboration. Both institutes share an interest in applied research, scientific exchange and practical solutions for sustainable energy systems.
The cooperation will focus on key topics such as the energy transition, decarbonization, hydrogen, sector coupling, energy efficiency, industrial transformation, as well as energy economics, regulatory frameworks, and technological innovation.
The MoU provides a valuable foundation for strengthening collaboration between Upper Austria and Shandong and for establishing new long-term research partnerships.
