After graduating from the Bundeshandelsakademie I in Wels in 2002, Ms. Friedl began studying economics with a major in socioeconomics at the University of Economics in Vienna. After completing her studies, Ms. Friedl has been working as a research assistant in the Energy Economics Department at the Energy Institute at Johannes Kepler University Linz since October 2008, where she also completed her dissertation on “Energy Poverty in Private Households” in 2013. After two parental leaves, Christina Friedl joined the Energy Institute as a Senior Researcher in November 2020.
In her projects, Ms. Friedl focuses on the qualitative empirical assessment of social and societal aspects (such as with regard to acceptance and distribution effects) of energy efficient technologies/systems using the SAMBA model newly developed at the Energy Institute.
