DI Gregor Riha studied Energy Technology at the Montanuniversity of Leoben. Throughout his postgraduate degree he focused on renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency for industrial appliances. Further knowledge in the area of renewable energy systems and holistic problem solving for the energy transition was gained during two exchanges in the US (Colorado School of Mines) and in Australia (University of New South Wales). Mr. Riha was able to apply interdisciplinary approaches as part of multilateral cooperations for different universities throughout Europe. In 2024 he conducted applied research in the area of energy efficiency and heat transfer to enable the use of geothermal process heat for a dairy company. Since 2024 Mr. Riha is part of the Energy Institute at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz.
