International research projects require travel for optimal implementation – despite a significant shift to virtual meetings. In order to avoid an increase in carbon dioxide emissions, the Energieinstitut an der JKU Linz has planted a tree for every employee. In this way, we are also making a contribution to reducing carbon dioxide emissions away from our everyday research work at our desks.
