Last week, our colleagues Stefan Puschnigg and Robert Müllehner took part in the fourth consortium meeting of the European project TREASURE in Lidzbark Warmiński (PL).
During the meeting, they presented the current progress of our work in the project and presented the first results of the techno-economic analyses.
As part of the project, seasonal heat storages (specifically “pit thermal energy storages”, or PTES for short) are being evaluated and further developed. This evaluation is carried out within the framework of various demonstration facilities with storage capacities of up to 500,000 m³.
A special highlight was the visit to the already realized PTES in Lidzbark. The colleagues from Euros Energy provided exciting insights into the planning, operation and integration of the storage system into the heating network.
As always, it was an extremely productive and inspiring meeting – many thanks to everyone involved for the great cooperation!
We are already looking forward to participating in the next reunion!
