The International Symposium on District Heating and Cooling is a leading international conference for research and innovation in the field of district heating and cooling. Held every two years, it brings together experts from academia, industry, public institutions and policy organisations from around the world.

The 20th edition of the Symposium will take place in Linz, Austria, from 5 to 8 September 2027. It will be hosted and organised by the Energieinstitut an der JKU Linz under the auspices of the International Energy Agency Technology Collaboration Programme on District Heating and Cooling (IEA DHC).
With around 200 to 300 international participants expected, the Symposium will provide a platform to present innovative research, discuss opportunities and challenges in district heating and cooling and strengthen international exchange within the global DHC community.
