Senior Expert

Sebastian Goers ist seit April 2008 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und derzeit Senior Expert der energiewirtschaftlichen Abteilung des Energieinstitutes. Er absolvierte das Studium der Volkswirtschaftslehre mit den Schwerpunkten Internationale Makroökonomie und Umweltökonomie an der Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelm Universität Bonn.

Im Zuge seiner Dissertation an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz mit dem Titel „Assessing the European Emissions Trading Scheme’s effectiveness and efficiency via an analysis of allowance endowment and CO2 price behavior“ befasste er sich mit ausgewählten Forschungsfragen zur Effektivität und Effizienz des europäischen Emissionshandelssystems.

Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte liegen derzeit in der makroökonomischen Bewertung energiewirtschaftlicher Fragestellungen auf regionaler und nationaler Ebene und in der Evaluierung der europäischen Energie- und Klimapolitik. Zudem fungiert Sebastian Goers seit Mitte 2013 als wissenschaftlicher Koordinator Oberösterreichs innerhalb des Energie-Netzwerks der Partnerregionen Bayern, Québec, Georgia, São Paulo, Shandong und Westkap.
