Dipl.-Ing. Eva-Maria Heigl MSc

Eva-Maria Heigl completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in “Industrial Environmental Protection” with a focus on process engineering at the University of Leoben and wrote her diploma thesis on energy optimization in the automotive industry.
After working as a research associate at the former Institute for Sustainable Techniques and Systems of the Graz-based research company Joanneum Research, she gained extensive industrial experience in large manufacturing companies in Lower and Upper Austria. Her responsibilities ranged from environmental and waste management, energy management, to quality and safety management. In addition, Ms. Heigl is an expert in ISO management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001). In 2018, she completed the course “Energy efficiency and energy management in companies” of the Energy Academy of the Energy Saving Association Upper Austria.
Since July 2022, Ms. Heigl has been part of the Energy Technology team at the Energy Institute at JKU Linz and in the future will focus primarily on LCAs (Life Cycle Assessments) of energy technologies and systems.
