Valerie Rodin MSc

Research Associate

Valerie Rodin received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Eco-Energy Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Campus Wels. During her master’s program, she focused on photovoltaics and worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg/Breisgau, Germany, and at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, Australia. Since 2018, she has been working with an interdisciplinary team as a research associate in the Department of Energy Technology at the Energieinstitut an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. Her focus is on industrial energy cooperation and industrial symbiosis, carbon capture and utilization (CCU), and photovoltaics. Since 2021, she is also an external PhD student at the Institute for Chemical Technology of Organic Materials (CTO) at JKU Linz and works in cooperation with the Energy Institute on evaluation methods of CCU processes in the context of circular economy and industrial symbiosis.
