Renewable gases will play a key role in the transformation of the energy system (especially in the so-called “hard-to-abate” sectors). Appropriate framework conditions are essential for the expansion of renewable gases. To this end, the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation & Technology has set up a Service Agency for Renewable Gases at the Austrian Energy Agency – Österreichische Energieagentur. Its tasks include monitoring the market for renewable gases, identifying locations that are technically and economically suitable for investments in this area, and providing information. An Advisory Board of the Service Agency is to act as an advisory and technical body and provide appropriate input. Robert Tichler was nominated by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation & Technology and the Service Agency as a member of the Advisory Board!
