Melanie Knöbl studied sociology at the Karl-Franzens-University in Graz. During her studies, she gained her first experience in non-university research as an intern at Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft in Graz. She graduated in October 2021 and then started working at the Energy Institute at Johannes Kepler University Linz. There, she complements the team of the Energy Economics Department as a junior researcher. Her research focuses include qualitative analyses in the field of empirical social and economic research, their methodological evaluation especially in the field of socio-technical and socio-economic analyses.
