In a festive ceremony at the residence of the Austrian ambassador in Brussels, our Managing Director Robert Tichler signed the Energieinstitut’s accession to “Hydrogen Europe Research”.
The Energieinstituts motivation for joining the Hydrogen Europe Research cluster as a member is to accelerate networking with other central European research institutions in the field of hydrogen research and thus to transfer expertise from and to these research institutions. The Energieinstitut an der JKU Linz has been researching new hydrogen systems, especially their effects and challenges, in a holistic, systemic and multidisciplinary approach for 15 years, in addition to other R&D focal points.
By joining Hydrogen Europe Research, our research will be taken to the next level in connection with an increased exchange of knowledge. We are currently the only Upper Austrian research organisation in Hydrogen Europe Research and only one of four in Austria. The aim of joining is to ensure that the latest developments can be analysed and incorporated in a constructive exchange with other Upper Austrian companies and research institutions, but also that newly generated knowledge can be disseminated to a greater extent.
A big thank you goes to the President of Hydrogen Europe Research, Prof. Luigi Crema, who personally signed the accession with us in this festive setting, as well as to the colleagues from Business Upper Austria and, of course, to Ambassador Jürgen Meindl for hosting us. And not to forget: the biggest thanks go to all colleagues at the Energieinstitut, who have made this accession possible with their permanent commitment to energy research!
