Stakeholder-Meeting „AFIR-Cooperation“ in Innsbruck

The Energieinstitut an der JKU Linz was represented at the Stakeholder Meeting “Accelerating the Electrification of Road Transport in the Alps” (AFIR-Cooperation) on the 3th October 2023 in Innsbruck!

During the event, our expert Marie-Theres Holzleitner-Senck presented the preliminary results of the ZEMPSI study (Zero Emission Mobility Power System Integration). This groundbreaking project is currently being carried out in cooperation between the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH, the Energy Institute at the JKU Linz and the University of Leoben, funded by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation & Technology.

Our colleague was able to offer valuable insights into several key aspects, including:

  • The definition of user groups
  • The user:inside behavior
  • The impact on grid stability
  • The possibilities for bidirectional charging
  • The legal aspects related to the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR).

The event was a great success and contributes to the further electrification of road transport in the Alpine region.
