Broadening horizons! This was the motto of yesterday’s workshop with guest professor Dr. José Hernán Muriel-Ciceri (Tecnológico de Monterrey, LIT Law Lab) from Mexico, who provided us with insights into Colombian energy law and the potentials and hurdles of renewable energies in the country. Our colleagues Michael Denk, Jovana Winkler and Argjenta Veseli had the opportunity to present selected aspects of European energy law (CO2 capture, mobility and waste heat). This was followed by a discussion on the differences between the two legal systems, which was expanded by Prof. Erika Wagner (Johannes Kepler University Linz) to include aspects of climate law.
