RE-FRESCH

Regulatory Framework for a Renewable Energy System – Begleitforschung „Energie.Frei.Raum”

Project Description

In the Energy.Free.Room program of the Austrian Climate Ministry, R&D projects are approved that will/can use the newly established regulatory sandbox provision in the electricity and gas sectors for the first time, as well as exploratory projects to investigate innovative integration and market models. In general, one of the goals of the Energy.Free.Room program is to implement regulatory learning, and this should be supported with the accompanying research in RE-FRESCH. The findings are derived with a focus on the two areas “Instrument Regulatory Sandbox” and “Energy Market Design”.
