Eva-Maria Heigl has graduated from the bachelor’s- and master’s programme “Industrial Environmental Protection” with focus on process engineering at the Montanuniversität Leoben and wrote her master’s thesis on energy optimization in the automotive industry.
After working at the former Institute for Sustainable Technologies and Systems at the research company “Joanneum Research” in Graz (Austria), she has gained extensive industry-experience in large production plants in Lower- and Upper Austria. Her tasks ranged from environmental- and waste-management, to energy-, quality- and safety management. Eva-Maria Heigl is expert for ISO management systems (ISO 14001, 9001, 50001, 45001). In 2018, she participated in the training course “Energy efficiency and energy management in companies” at the Upper Austrian Energy Academy. Since July 2022, Eva-Maria Heigl has been working on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) of new energy technologies and systems at the Energy Institute at the JKU Linz.
