Katharina Rusch MSc

Junior Researcher

After completing an apprenticeship as a shipping management assistant, Katharina Rusch studied in her Bachelor Maritime Economics and Port Management at the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Elsfleth, Germany. During her bachelor studies, she spent one semester abroad at the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Afterwards she continued her studies by doing the master in Environmental and Resource Economics at Kiel University.
During her studies she gained insights in research by doing internships at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and the ifo Institute in Munich. In addition, she worked as a tutor in business mathematics at Jade University of Applied Sciences and achieved practical experience in several internships in the economy.

Since January 2023 she works as Junior Researcher at the Energy Institute at JKU Linz in the department of Energy economics.
