The “Renewable Gasfield” research project follows a holistic power-to-gas approach, in which green hydrogen is generated from renewable electricity by electrolysis and combines a two-stage catalytic methanation on a large scale for a sustainable energy supply in the fields of energy, mobility and industry.
Goals
– Production of green hydrogen from renewable energy sources
– Filling of H2 in trailers
– Demonstration of the load-flexible methanation process
– Generation of renewable SNG and storage in the existing natural gas network
